We went to a kangaroo rescue centre and fell in love with Elizabeth. She is an 11 month year old Joey that was found in her dead mother's pouch at the side of the road. Generally joeys don't get killed in road accidents so if you see a dead kangaroo you should always check the pouch to make sure there isn't a little one still alive. Darren will be checking in the future - we thought we'd even buy some lactose-free milk just in case!
