The Kea is the only alpine parrot in the world and only lives in the Southern Alps. They are endangered but you wouldn't know it because they are cheeky beggers and hang around tourist carparks after food. There are lots of signs up telling people not to feed them. They like to chew walking boots and the rubber on car doors. This one let us get very close to take a photo.
