09 the museum - 01 outside
After an exciting backroad journey we somehow arrive at the Vinh Moc tunnels museum.
Unlike the Cu Chi Tunnels (see previous blog entry), the Vinh Moc tunners were not modified for mass tourist consumption. Whereas the Cu Chi tunnels were small and cramped with people, the Vinh Moc tunnels were high enough to walk through, and are amazingly extensive, with entrances dotted all over what appears to be a beautiful but unremarkable park. In fact some of the tunnels terminate at hidden doorways onto the sea.
