This large building is on the grounds of a Zen Buddhist (Japanese) temple in Taichung. This building was physically moved forward about 200 feet from it's present location and is now on blocks. A new, much larger temple will be built in it's place, and the original building will then be moved back and actually be housed inside the old one. This is relatively common practice in Taiwan, however I believe the scale of this undertaking is larger than most.
