June 2008 : Rest & Relaxation in Pulau Perhentian Kecil, Malaysia
About this blog
We chose to stop at Pulau Perhentian mainly for diving purposes. As a diver, Argi has read of good comments about diving in the area surrounding both the islands, ie. the Big Island (Besar) and the Small Island (Kecil). Another reason, we must admit, is its close proximity to Kota Bharu, the capital in the state of Kelantan, one of the very few states in Malaysia which is governed by the opposition Islamic party. Argi wants to see and experience its difference from the other more "liberal" states in Peninsular Malaysia. He was clearly not disappointed, except for the diving part. It was a really relaxing and cool way for us to end this part of our journey in Asia.
