We have intended to end our ambitious trip this time with total rest and relaxation on an island off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, the Perhentian Island.Argi is very keen on diving there as he has read good reviews about the waters around the area.Hence,from Chiang Mai, we flew into Kota Bharu, the capital of the state of Kelantan, as we need to take a boat to Perhentian Island from Kuala Besut, which is about 40-minute drive from Kota Bharu.This town is enchanting in its own right; old-fashion and slow-moving, it proudly guards its eccentricity in the leadership of the Opposition Islamic Party.
