About this blog
We're finally doing it. After a year of planning, saving and hard work, we are starting our round-the-world backpacking trip. We'll be staying in hostels (or with friends when we're lucky enough to run into them abroad) and carrying everything on our backs. Along the way, we hope to see and experience as much of the world as we can, so hopefully the urge to pick up and leave won't strike after we get married and have kids. We don't have many concrete plans, except to visit the Czech Republic, Egypt and Australia (for my best friend Gerry's wedding in September.) If anyone has suggestions as to where we should visit, we're happy to have them. We hope that everyone enjoys reading about our trip as much as we will taking it. Matt & Terri
