Ok, ok, so some people are calling it my mid-life crisis (I've just hit 30), but whatever it is I felt the need for travel so I sold my flat, packed up my belongings and left my job after almost 10 years with the same employer.

I'd like to backpack around the world, explore new places, meet strange people (nice ones hopefully!). But as I made my plans I was offered the opportunity to do 3 months work for a company in Luxembourg. Great I thought - I get to experience working overseas, I can add to my CV, earn some money doing what I enjoy and start my travels!

It also gives me the opportunity for a 'gentle' start - I can see if I really do like my own company (!) and can have the courage travel on my own. The adventure starts here...
