OLIVES & GRAPES: The Fruits of Sicily Take another gay romp with Dan Ware -- this time around the largest island in the Mediterranean: Sicily!

About this blog

Sicily is a sun-kissed land with warm breezes and rich volcanic soil. Olives (for olive oil) and grapes (for distinctive wines) are the main crops today. We're going to visit bustling cities, ancient ruins, an exploding volcano, small islands and glorious beaches. It is a great group composed of quite a few people I've traveled with before. A lot of them have surnames that end in a vowel! Will it be a return to their roots, perhaps? I will try a modified approach to this tour blog since writing detailed accounts of each day's activities practically kills me on tour! Look for fewer entries and more bullet-point style of writing. I'll try to tell the story through a few photos. Let me know if you like it! -- Dan Ware, September 19, 200
