Grandmother Gratification in Peoria, Illinois!

I'm off to visit my daughter, son-in-law, and 3 granddaughters in Peoria, Illinois for a week, and get my "Nonna fix". These are my only grandkids so far, and it's been really hard emotionally having them so far away from Texas, so every spring break and summer I go up there without fail and spoil them rotten. That's what Nonnas do, right??!

Peoria is worth stopping in to visit if you are ever in the vicinity... it's a beautiful town on the banks of the Illinois river, and their parks department is fabulous. My daughter has lived there four years now, and is still discovering new parks to take the children to.

Checking the weather forecast tells me the highs will be in the 80s - yea! It was 107 degrees here at home yesterday.
