Car Camping Conundrum

I have long held the opinion that "car camping" is not really camping at all. It's just sleeping in a tent near all your stuff. But I have to admit, that I really like it. I enjoy having all the amenities nearby if I need them and being able to use my car to carry stuff instead of my back. Call me lazy. I dig it. This trip was intended to allow me to do some exploring in Northern California in the Shasta area: an area I have driven through countless times between my first home and my current home. This week was spent getting to know that area better.
