About this blog

Hello, Thanks for visiting our site! Please check back often to see our expedition progress and just how much can be learned by living on the road. Over the next 3 years we will travel and live exclusively in a 34' Airstream travel trailer; the Classic is the biggest coach ever built by the Airstream company in a lengthy 80 year history! Our means of propulsion will be an expedition kitted, Ford Super Duty F450 crew cab. It features a massive diesel powerplant and nearly 35,000 pounds of tow and cargo capability. Our expedition members will be Will (dad), Susan (mom), Nonie (5 1/2 year old daughter), Gigi (2 year old daughter) and the newest addition to our team, Nico (6 month old son). Additionally our 2 dogs Sam and Joe (10 and 4 year old boxers respectively).

We have chosen this very different method of education as we feel life is the best educator. As traditional education seems to have reached a critical emergency, we opted to get off the treadmill and get out into the world and learn how life really works! We plan to visit every National Park, every benificial museum, and every interesting factory we can cram into 3 years in the lower 48! Our children were a deciding voice in designing our route, and setting destinations. Our trip is very "hands on" and technology based. We will enjoy contstant internet connectivity via high-speed, high-bandwidth, satellite internet connection. We will employ hi -definition still imaging cameras to document our every move. The children will each have a tablet device which will connect them to favorite educational sites, allow them to connect to our family intranet servers, and utilize our daily lessons. Feel free to subscribe to our blog and follow our progress over the next few years.

Wo hope you enjoy our blog. Will, Susan, Nonie Gigi, Nico, Sam, and Joe
