Ran a cable route survey for AUTEC. 8 days on a dive boat with an assortment of characters and crew. Great Harbour Cay and little stirrup cay were two of the islands we visited.

This trip to the Bahamas changed my life forever. I will now be incomplete if I live my life and never return to these islands. The culture is different and that is to be assumed, but I never knew what it actually means to live on an island. The pace is so much slower, everything is imported, and there are little differences that really make the differencem. For example, there is NO auto theft, because, you're on a freakin island, where are you going to take it to? I thought that VISA would be everywhere I wanted to be but when I arrived I found that only the harbor master took visa and there was no bank, NO BANK, on the island. So I made the $50 cash last the entire 8 days. Good thing the boat had a good cook.
