About this blog

This will most likely be a four week trip in China between January and February, 2008. It begins from the Sichuan/Congqing basin. I will spend three or four nights in Chengdu, head to Chonqging City to board the boat trip along the Yangtze River through the impressive Three Gorges and on to the commercial and glitzy hub of Shanghai. Transport permitting, I'll fly up to Harbin in the frozen north to experience the ice sculpture festival. Transport - and time permitting - I'd like to travel back to Chongqing by train. However, because it's Chinese Spring Festival, the main holiday in China, all tickets may be wiped out. In which case I'll return by plane.
