Flew into Jo'burg, stayed at posh hotel and then hitched a ride on a dinky plane to Maseru, Lesotho....Training as a PCT in Africa!

| | | Hello all! I am sitting in an internet cafe in the hot, busy Maseru. It has been such a worldwind so far, flying 15 1/2 hours to Jo'burg, one night in the Southern Sun Hotel and then flying for my first time in a propeller plane into Maseru. I, luckily, did not get sick but it was quite an experience in a three seat wide plane. Flying above South Africa into Lesotho was beautiful- bright blue skies over tan and green patches of agriculture and then we saw the mountain tops of Lesotho.
The dark range was quite impressive and dramatic against the indigo sky. All in all the natural beauty of Lesotho is gorgeous. The airport is really just a little strip of cement in a grass field but we were all really happy to be on the ground...
