This travelogue documents my attempts to visit the four lowest-ranking countries on the UN Human Development Index (as well as transit through a couple of others overland). The idea of the trip is to experience the humanity behind the statistics, and hopefully to gain the sort of knowledge that can't be bought off a bookshelf.
