Beijing to Britain overland. Closing a chapter, opening a new one, chances for reflection and my rediscovery of Europe: All through a train window.
About this blog
The words, "Trans-Siberian" had long sent shivers of anticipation through my body and now was my chance to go across the Eurasian continent. And if you can get to Moscow by train, then there's a once in a lifetime opportunity to cross the European continent overland too. I couldn't resist that, so Beijing to Britain by train it would be.
For once, this was not about finding people or places, the epic journey in itself was the end in itself and it did indeed become my travelling companion for this time.
