3 months in Nicaragua - Diary of "El Chele" (Milky)
About this blog
The colonial city of Leon is the setting for my medical elective. The first 6 weeks will be spent with local surgeons in the city's university hospital. I will be lodging with a local family and hopefully having lots of fun at weekends in my time off. Top of the list: climbing a volcano, sandboarding back down it, surfing the Pacific beaches, kayaking with alligators and drinking quality rum.
When I finish, I will be off with Hannah to explore. Across Lake Nicaragua, stopping of at a volacno island, boating through a rainforest 600km to the Caribbean.
I will then visit the highlands, cities buried in cloud forests, home of the revolution & the world's second best coffee!
Monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles and spiders await!
