Cruise Around the Island of Cuba with Andrew
About this blog
When I was a child, Cuba was a place that you read about in history books. It was a place of Castro, Communism and old American cars. Sure, everyone knew that there had to be more to the place than that, but there was an embargo. It was illegal to go there. The only way that an American could go was to go to Canada, buy a ticket to Havana from there, and pray that US Customs didn't notice the Cuban entry stamp in your passport when you returned.
All that changed back in the late 90's. It is now possible, if you get the right paperwork from the US and Cuban governments, to travel to Cuba legally. Still, when you spend so many years thinking that a thing is impossible, you tend not to look too hard for ways to make it possible. So when I learned of this opportunity, you can imagine my surprise and joy. Here was my chance to learn about the real Cuba; its people and its culture. This was my chance to see the Cuba Hemingway loved.
Come along with me, and I think you will find that we will discover something beautiful and wonderful.
