Suzanne's Great American Get-Together: Chicago Blog
About this blog
Whether you call it the Windy City, Paris of the Prairie, or land of the smelly onion (less commonly known indigenous origins) the Road Scholars had an incredible visit to Chicago! We learned a lot on this program both with lectures and experientially; seeing the Renoirs at the Art Institute, feeling the metal skin of the cloud gate in Millennium Park, listening to the acoustics in the Lyric Opera House, smelling the chocolate fumes wafting from the local chocolate factory and tasting Greek, Italian and German cuisine celebrating the city's ethnic diversity. As a first-time blogger my goal is to share my first-time Road Scholar program experience with you, highlighting our amazing speakers, exploratory excursions and how I enjoyed my free time in the city.
