Riahl is in Ecuador

So I am going to try out this whole "BLOG" thing to make sure that no one goes un-updated on my whereabouts while in Ecuador. I'll try to add an entry somewhat regularly...please email me with questions and comments, I´ll do my best to respond!

The trip is through Trent University's Department of International Development Studies. There are 16 other students on this trip, of which about half are from Trent while the other half are from other Canadian Universities. For the first half of the program, we stay with host families in Sangolquí, Ecuador, which is a small Quito suburb of about 40,000. While with our families we attend university courses in English at a school in Sangolqui. The next semester we work with a local organization.
