About this blog

The Confucius Institute at the University of Oklahoma is sponsoring this 2014 trip to China. We have 10 students participating in this great experience;6 from Tulsa (Karis, Trent, Sam, Audrey, Skylar, and Jackson, 1 from Dallas (Augustus), and 3 from the Houston area (Aaron, Zach, and Rodrigo).

We will spend a total of 18 days in China; 5 days in Beijing and the remainder of our time in Shandong province, birthplace of Confucius. This is the perfect environment for the students to practice their Chinese, experience a wonderful culture, try new food, and make friends.

There are moments in life that define who we are and who we will be. This is one of those experiences that will forever leave a lasting impression in the minds of the students and inspire them to want more out of life.

This blog is a record of our travels and the incredible journey that lies ahead.
