Fed up with my job in Hayward, CA I applied to the US Peace Corps and was accepted into a new program in Nepal, called University Education. I would be teaching Math at their national university, Tribuvan University.
I love mountains, hiking, back packing trekking so this was really exciting.
This is the very start of the journey. A cross country trip to visit parents and friends before joining some 40 other volunteers in various programs in Philadelphia, PA for orientation before flying to Nepal.
