To Vietnam and Cambodia - A journey to see the world from a different point of view. To go to a place where my father fought long ago and see the people and the land as it is today.
About this blog
It has been over two years since my trip to New Zealand and a vacation is long overdue. This trip takes me to the North and South of Vietnam as well as the ancient temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
Five of us are traveling together and from a bike trip through the southern Mekong Delta to the mountains outside of Sapa we are combining adventure with spirituality with relaxation and apparently there's flooding there right now. We hope that it will dry out before we get there. But in the meantime, I'm packing the rain jacket and wishing I'd been practicing paddling lately in case I need to paddle boats through the streets as shown in many recent pictures of Hanoi this week.
