Ireland: Cycling the West Coast

Following extensive reading, questioning, and fact finding on the best places to cycle in Ireland, an idea is beginning to coalesce. I have mainly decided to cycle fairly secluded places but with plenty of possibilities to meet friendly locals. Although I am still figuring out the logistics of bike transport or perhaps rental, I am very excited to begin my trip. I'll be arriving in Dublin and then hoping on a train to Killarney. From there I shall travel up the coast and see if I can get as far north as Westport. It's all up to the weather, my thigh endurance, and the availability of a high carb potato stew diet.
