South West USA - 2007 - Las Vegas NV; Page AZ; Durango CO; Santa Fe NM, Albuquerque NM & Tuscon AZ.
About this blog
We started our trip in Las Vegas NV. The main reason is that flight is cheap with lots of options (one way on Westjet $88) & car rental is also much cheaper then other cities like Phoenix AZ. From Vegas to Page AZ, then stop at Durango, Co. A day stop over later drive to Santa Fe, NM. From Santa Fe a short drive to Albuquerque. From there a long drive to Tuscon AZ for a few days. Finally back to Las Vegas before returning home to Vancouver, BC Canada. We bought the 'Off the Beaten Path' travel books for New Mexico & Arizona. They really help in finding places out of the typical tourist zones.
Tips: You don't have to buy new versions of the book which cost $16.00. I ordered from bookcloseouts.com paid around $6.00 each.
