Working abroad... Chance and Choices

Looking for my first job I am part of the lucky few who can travel for work...

But, on the other hand, I go to shitty remote places, and I work in the Oil Industry. That calls for some reflexion, the result of which can be summarized in two points:

1- Oil is providing energy for cars and planes, and is a basic component for plastics, perfumes, tires, and many other things that very few westerners would accept to give up... Reducing our consumption is a political and a personnal matter. Production will adjust. A long way to go, but the only way.

2- Usually, you don't go alone to shitty remote places: in fact it provides a "good" environment for exchanging views with others (so far: nigerians, hindis, romanians, italians, and all sorts of common-wealth-ers)
