This is about a break that we took in one of the 'wildest' regions in India. Nestling at the foothills of the beautiful Kumaon range of the Himalayas, the Corbett Tiger Reserve is a dream destination for more reasons than one. Of course, the Royal Bengal Tiger is the star attraction here. But the Corbett forest is much more than that - what with its rich variety of animals and birds alike, not to mention the sheer beauty of the jungle there.

We chose to visit Corbett just two weeks before the monsoons. When it starts to pour even as your holiday begins, you can't be blamed for wondering if your luck has run out. But, as we were to discover, there was definitely more than one silver lining in those clouds up there...
