About this blog

Kanyakumari is where the Indian peninsula tapers off into the confluence of Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. Just three hours away from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala state, India's Land's End is a favourite of travellers from all over. After taking in the divinity of God's own country, the preferred route usually is to spend a day or two at Thiruvananthapuram and then head for Kanyakumari.

But, as often happens, it need not always be about a hop from point A to B. What lies between, the hidden sights along the way is usually forgotten or undiscovered. Two such gems on this route are the stately Padmanabhapuram Palace and the ancient Suchindram Thanumalaya Temple. Both can be covered enroute, the same day.
