While hauntingly beautiful, Venezia is similar to a bunch of bugs flying into a bug-zapper. People are everywhere. There are so many tourists (we were there when two cruise ships were in) that at times all you can see are heads, mouths flapping wildly. Nevertheless, Laura and I escaped to some of the outskirts and found a beautiful town with empty streets and water everywhere. Come in and check-out our short stay in Venice...
