Sauntering through Southeast Asia
About this blog
Southeast Asia to the rescue!
Iran and Pakistan were too difficult to arrange, and Europe is just outrageously expensive if you're spending US dollars. So instead I'll be doing a five country tour of SE Asia starting in Laos, heading overland to Vietnam, down to Indonesia, up to Malaysia and finally finishing in southern Thailand.
Four of the five countries are new ones for me, and with such sights as Laos' cultural capital of Luang Prabang, Vietnam's war memorials, Indonesia's picturesque Bali, Malaysia's famed jungle rail and southern Thailand's rich culture, this trip should hopefully have more pleasure than pain.
Of course these things are all dependent upon the whims of the road. I wouldn't have it any other way.
