Amsterdam-Guernsey-Normandy 2009
About this blog
The following is the account of the usual annual trip to Europe that Sandy and I take. For those that had read last year's blog, I traveled to Europe on my own as Sandy was uncomfortable in leaving our three elderly dogs (Callie 15, Rusty 14 and Sasha 14) behind at the dog kennel for 17 days, and she unfortunately was very prophetic. Prior to the trip in April, we had to put Rusty the Irish Setter down and then while I was in Europe my beloved Golden Retriever, Sasha, took a turn for the worst and Sandy had to put her down. Callie, the oldest, lasted until September and in the span of 4 ½ months, we lost all three dogs, a very difficult time for us.
The dogs now behind us, we travel to Europe for 15 days. We will spend the first three days in Amsterdam, then rent a car (for the first time) and travel to the Normandy region of France for the remainder of the trip.
Follow along as we work our way through France, we both are looking forward to the trip and I hope you have fun also!!!
