About this blog

To my mother's horror (and my father's glee-how they ever got and remained married is anyone's guess) I quit my six-figure job to attend graduate school at the University of California at Berkeley. What better way to celebrate than blow all of my savings on a tri-continental journey? No better way, I say!

Leg One of my trip takes me to Costa Rica from April 6 through May 10, 2006. I spend the first week hanging with my girl Catherine DuBois at a resort in Ocotal Beach, located on the west coast of Costa Rica. I then travel to Puriscal, located in the mountains north of San Jose. There I will volunteer with the Cross Cultural Solutions organization for four weeks.
