I've heard so much about this part of the world from folk at home who've been here (my dad spent his formative years in NZ after my grandparents emigrated) as well as the Kiwi's and Aussies I've met on the road, I feel like I know the countries already !
But, although the relative novelty of English speaking and left hand driving will be good after being in South America for 4 months - as will fish and chips, marmite, salt and vinegar crisps etc... It's all the things which are completely different to me, in terms of natural environment, landscape and wildlife that I'm looking forward to most.
