Leaving an unfulfilling post-college life in California to work as a Sub-aquatic ceramic technician at the South Pole (of the world.) Antarctica is a cold and dangerous place, filled with bearded Alaskans and adorable penguins but no polar bears.

Here is my account of a few frozen months at the bottom of the world, where compass points go wild.
