I am journeying to Japan and Taiwan once again, but this trip holds a different significance. It is the bridge between my past and my future. A possible future lies in Japan, where I hope to live as a member of the JET program next year. On the other hand, Taiwan represents my past. It is where my parents came from and where my relatives still reside. I must not allow myself to be cut off from them.

To me, my present will always be in Texas. It is the origin of the Maverick Ranger, and no matter where I go or how much I wander, I will find myself coming home. However, until it is time, I am off on another journey.
