Todd Fredericksen and I received our third Berger Grant from the Appalachian College Association to take a total of 16ACA faculty to the Galápagos Islands and mainland Ecuador.

This trip to Ecuador consisted of 8 days of cruising in the Galápagos Islands (for most people [sigh])followed by five days in mainland Ecuador. Our mainland sojourn consisted of two days in the Amazonian rain forest and three days in the volcanic highlands, including Antisana and Cotopaxi National Parks, Quito, the Equator, and the native market atr Otovalo.
