So, 40 years ago, "Leaving on a Jet Plane" was written by John Denver during a layover at an airport in Washington and recorded by the Mitchell Trio. While the lyrics don't match perfectly with our situation because it is only talking about one person, I do love the parts that go "All my bags are packed; I'm ready to go....I'm leavin' on a jet plane...." and I would like to take the liberty to change it to "All our bags are packed; we're ready to go...we're leavin' on a jet plane."
'til later! Layton and I leave for a once in a lifetime trip. Thanks to everyone for their wishes, help and support! We could not have pulled this off without you.
