Lake Ohau and Mount Cook

| | | We arrived in Lake Ohau after hours and hours of driving..in actual fact it felt like days and days! We were all well knackered..and were getting some much needed shut eye when the opposite group..Contiki.. decided to set off the fire alarms at 2.30 am...We were not impressed..to say the least and after Sarah spent about ten minutes trying to wake me up as she thought the lodge was on fire..I was the least impressed of everybody!!
Still the lake was pretty and it meant we were closer to Mount Cook the next day..That is where Sir Edmund Hillary did all of his training for Everest..so it was pretty cool to go there and see the research centre he developed before he died.
