A journey inspired during our summers with my grandmother Mary and grandfather Lew at their camp "Skimcor". The promise I made to myself in 1968 during Lew's talks to visit this "lost city" was never forgotten. However, it was never acted upon until Terri Burke, the VP of sales for NCL invited Gary and I to the christening of the Pride of America last year. Standing in front of a huge photo mural titled Machu Picchu, Terry remarked that she was at MP, but never saw the patchwork farmland photgraphed in the mural. It was then that I decided to make this dream a reality for me in 2006.
