When the hurricane hit Cancun in August 2005, DH and I had to change our vacation plans. So instead of heading to the beach, we switched to going to London.

I had bought new bathing suits and new Tommy Bahama resort wear, ready to sip pina coladas and dance the night away in Cancun. However, the hurricane hit and devasted the whole area. So we had to cancel all of our reservations and come up with a new plan. I had never been to Europe and had wanted to go since I was a child. We found a great deal on American Airlines Vacations for London...so my beach clothes would have to wait until next summer!
