TBM900 N755JG - Round The World Flight 2016
About this blog
This blog records the adventures of N755JG, a Daher TBM900 aeroplane that flew around the world between 2nd June and 17th August 2016.
Departing Singapore, flown by owner John Giddens accompanied by my 19 year old son Hallin, we flew westbound, taking time to see selected sights and join in some chosen events along the way. We were joined at various times and for sections of the journey by other friends and family.
The objective of this blog is to record the fun we had, the places we visited, and create a permanent record and reminder of the trip, as well as letting friends follow along on the journey.
We have done a lot of long distance flying in small aircraft before and this blog is not intended to be a guide about how to fly round the world. If you are reading this because you are a pilot planning a similar trip then please feel free to contact me directly. However you won't find too much in here about flight planning, permits, visas, customs and immigration, safety considerations and so on - except where those things became part of the story.
Those of course are critically important things for any pilot who is planning this kind of adventure to consider very carefully, but it isn't what this blog is about!
Hallin and I hope you enjoy reading about our adventure.
