I often feel at a loss - I wish I could do more to contribute to the work of charities. Many people, like me, I think have their own preferred charities that they support, for their own personal reasons. I am ever yearning to do more for charity - to get more directly involved in the work. To that end, I gladly signed up to do an "event" for Action Aid's Lick Child Poverty Campaign.

Then I planned this.

Really the only thing that kept me going was the determination not to let down all those of you who were supporting me, sponsoring me and who had given me an audience when I said what I was intending to do.

So thank-you for your support - I have been genuinely touched by everybody's generosity.
