A Work Trip

About this blog

This was one of my many "work trips", trips that I took for computer consulting, which was my occupation for many years. I had been working in the Bay Area in California, when I received a call from my friend in Anchorage, Alaska. They needed a person there with my experience, and he asked if I might be interested. Interested!!! Are you crazy, I wouldn't pass a trip up like this for a million dollars! So, I gave notice at my "job", went shopping for winter clothes (I was in Southern California, and not a stitch of wool to my name). Bought my plane ticket, boxed up my computer (no laptops then, too bad), and I was off for about 9 months. Walt, my S.O. flew up, and we drove back in my Toyota forerunner to Omana, Ne for my next contract. What a switch!

  • Getting down south
  • Just in time for my new contract
