When you don't have high expectations you will sometimes be pleasantly surprised. I have just moved to Houghton, Michigan and to be honest I had low expectations of the place before I arrived. Over the last 10 days I have discovered that Houghton and in general the Michigan upper peninsula does not suck. In fact I like the place quite a lot. I have included in this travelogue some pics of the Michigan upper peninsula that is surprisingly beautiful, to share with family and friends.
