Who would have thought that the restless globetrotters - for whom three days in the same town was a day too long - would be content with spending SIX WHOLE DAYS in one place?
Well, after seven months back at the grindstone in Edinburgh, all we wanted for Christmas was a relaxing break in the sun... but no, not for us the Brits-abroad package holidays synonymous with the Canary Islands. That would just be unthinkable. Instead, we headed for the quiet, gloriously rugged island of La Gomera.
