"Have you thought about thinking?" a friend asked. We thought, and realised our brains and bodies were yearning for fresh experiences, to see the 'glittering clouds' of stars that Paul Theroux saw on 'clear nights on Pacific Isles'. So we packed our bags and set off, trying to keep in mind the words of B. Hoff:Is it all too often the Brain that sends us off in the wrong direction, following the echo of the wind in the treetops, which we think is real, rather than listening to the voice within us that tells us which way to turn?
