Our Yukon Adventure!
About this blog
We are taking off from our home in Canmore and taking a year to travel. The first destination is The Yukon Territory. We've been there before back in 2006 for a canoe trip on the Snake River. We really like the area and realized that doing the north in two week bits wasn't enough. I went up the Whitehorse in Feb 2007 for two weeks volunteering for the Canada Winter Games. I participated in the first CWGs in Quebec City in 1967 so it was a nostalgic trip,as 40 yrs before I was a participant on the MB Long Track Speed Skating Team. I met a lot of very cool folks and decided we had to get back up to the Yukon. Cheryl retired last Fall and the stage was set! We're off to hike the Chilcoot Tr. Paddle the Yukon River and try to see it all!
