A summer in Germany, getting paid to blow stuff up

About this blog

Having officially graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in nuclear engineering, I now venture of to Germany for a summer internship. I will be in the R&D department of DYNAenergetics designing and testing shaped explosives which, I must add, having nothing to do with nuclear bombs and are used for peaceful purposes. More importantly, though, I will be living in, and exploring, Germany. I will be based in Bonn, next to Cologne, in the western German province of North Rhine-Westphalia. And maybe I can learn to speak some German.
