When dissolution of Yugoslavia became obvious and the Yugoslav National Tourist Office wound up its network abroad I was the last to go. Flew to Skopje to persuade the local government to keep tourist promotion in the Low Lands, but the prime-minister was mostly crying and did not have a clue what to do. When I found it unacceptable in search of a job to wait hours and be ready to spring up to anybody in the ante-chambers of officials - it became obvious that the next choice to sustain our existence was to set a business in The Netherlands.
That is how dealing with porcelain became an option. It was THE mistake of my life. After Royal Worcester and Wedgwood the next choice was Villeroy Boch. This is the episode with travel to Luxembourg.
